EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Dr. Lakshmi S completed her MBBS from the Adichunchungiri Institute of Medical Sciences under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka in 2009. Always wanting to be a mental health professional, she followed her passion and went on to pursue her higher degrees in psychiatry from the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore. She completed diploma in Psychiatric Medicine in 2013 and MD psychiatry in 2017, both from NIMHANS with a gold medal in each of them. She has also got awards for her presentations in national and international conferences.
She worked as a Senior Resident in the department of Psychiatry at NIMHANS for two years and then proceeded to do a post-doctoral fellowship at the same institute during 2019-2020.
Dr Lakshmi believes in constant learning and has continued to pursue various forms of learning even thereafter. To name a few, she did a distant learning programme from the National Law School, Bangalore in Medical Law and Ethics (PGDMLE) and completed it in 2023. She has done various certificate programmes in the fields of research and psychotherapies. She is currently pursuing fellowship course in sexual medicine from the JSS university, Mysore.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Founder and Consultant Psychiatrist, AASARE NEUROPSYCHIATRIC CENTRE, Bangalore from Sep 2020 till date.
- Consultant at Center for Advanced Research and Excellence in Autism and Developmental Disorders (CAREADD), St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences (SJNAHS), Bangalore since June 2022.
- Visiting Psychiatrist at Dwitiya Life Care Hospital Bangalore, Motherhood Hospital, Banashankari and Shekhar Hospital, Bangalore.
- Experience as Senior Resident in the Dept of Psychiatry including Adult Psychiatry, Perinatal Psychiatry, and Rehabilitation Services at NIMHANS
- Worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Karnataka Institute of Diabetology in 2014.

Kavya Kashyap
Kavya Kashyap is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist with over 4 years of experience in the field of mental health. She has completed her Masters in Psychology (M.Sc) from Sampurna Montfort College, Bangalore, and her M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS).
She works with individuals and couples dealing with mental health difficulties and works largely with adolescents and adults. She offers psychotherapeutic interventions online and offline. She believes in an eclectic approach to therapy and has a tailor-made treatment approach to each client, depending on their needs.
She has been formally trained and holds certifications to offer various evidence-based therapies that include –
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for mood and anxiety disorders
- CBT for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (Beck Institute)
- Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
- Trauma-Informed therapy
